I’ve had this domain hosted for over 2 years with nothing on it. One reason it’s taken me so long to get a website up is because every time I get something in place, I see something I like better. I seem to have ‘issues’ with commitment. For instance, it took me a number of years just to settle upon a name for my services. And when I did, the domain was already taken (artworksbydonna), hence the more peculiar artwErksbydonna. Though admittedly, upon further reflection, I came to realize that the term artwErks was probably a better reflection of me and my work…sort of artsy but also sometimes a bit quirky (which probably reflects more upon me personally than upon my work).
Soooo, here we are, a fully functioning website complete with a contact form and search feature, both of which actually WORK…er, wErk (I KNOW they work, I’ve already contacted and searched myself). It’s colorful and pretty and flashy and all that good stuff. Now, I have my own place of the worldwide web. Now I’m important. Now I’m SOMEbody. I feel a little like Steve Martin’s character in the movie, The Jerk, the first time he saw his name in a phone book…
